The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of 12-weeks korean traditional dance program and β3-adrenergic Receptor Gene Mutation on blood lipids, inflammatory markers. The subjects were 22 old women (65 - 72 years old) and they were divided into three groups. Group A was common korean traditional dance group(n = 8) and group B was β3-adrenergic Receptor Gene Mutation korean traditional dance group(n = 6). Group C was control group(n = 8). The subjects performed Korean circle dance with 40-60%HRR three times a week in the korean dance program. Physical strength test and blood sampling were performed before the program, after 6-week, and after 12-week program. SPSS 12.0K program was used for statistical data analysis. Paired t-test was performed to verify the difference between the data sets after the dance program and data sets before the dance program. Repeated measure ANOVA was performed to verify the change of data sets between the groups. Duncan was performed for post hoc and the significance level was 0.05(α=.05). The followings are the results of this study. 1. The Change of blood lipids 1) TC was significantly decreased after 6-week(p<.05) and 12-week(p<.05) program for group A and group B. For goup C, TC was significantly increased after 6-week(p<.05) and 12-week program(p<.05). There was significant interaction between the groups(F=8.65, p=.001). There was significant difference in TC change after 6-week program between group A and group C and between group B and group C(p=.005) and after 12-week program between group A and group C and between group B and group C(p=.001). 2) HDL-C was significantly increased after 6-week(p<.05) and 12-week(p<.05) program for group A and group B. For goup C, HDL-C was significantly decreased after 6-week(p<.05) and 12-week program(p<.05). There was significant interaction between the groups(F=3.65, p=.043). There was significant difference in HDL-C change after 6-week program between group A and group C and between group B and group C(p=.009) and after 12-week program between group A and group C and between group B and group C(p=.043). 3) LDL-C was significantly decreased after 6-week(p<.05) and 12-week(p<.05) program for group B. There was significant interaction between the groups(F=6.06, p=.004).
