The purpose of this study is to examine the female identity represented in Nijinska's 「Les Noces」 by analyzing 「Les Noces」. This study examines the concept of female identity and explore the female identity in 「Les Noces」 based on the theories of women's right activists and philosophers of 18- 20th century such as Mary Wollstoncraft, John Stuart Mil, Carol Gilligan, Nancy Chodorow, Simone de Beauvoir, and Luce Irigaray. Unlike the typical characteristics of women, which are dependent on men and obedient to men, The female indentities, particularly accusation of female inequality, women's uniqueness and de-normalization strategy are distinguishably exposed in Nijinska's 「Les Noces」.
Abstract
