This study comprehensively examined the concept of dance literacy de fined by existing scholars, defined dance literacy as ‘an ability of under standing and performing dance artistically, historically and culturally’ as the concept of narrow sense, and developed the education program which can enhance this. This study hopes that the developed ballet education program as above will be applied to real education field and verified its effectiveness. Furthermore this study expects that the program will be utilized as the basis for the development of dance education program suitable for the training of professional dancer.
