초록
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the ballet exercise program on physical fitness, depression and cognitive function of elderly women over 65 years old. A total of 27 subjects were randomly assigned to exercise group(14) and control group(13). The exercise pro gram was 50 minutes and performed twice a week for 12-weeks. As a result, physical fitness was significantly increased in all variables in the exercise group, the depression scale was significantly increased in the control group, but significantly decreased in the exercise group, cogni tive function was significantly increased in the exercise group. In addi tion, there was a significant difference between groups in all variables, and there was a significant correlation between physical fitness and de pression scale and cognitive function. These results are expected to contribute to the improvement of activ ities of daily living ability of the elderly women by positively affecting the improvement and prevention of depression and cognitive function.
