Abstract

This study aims to analyze the educational needs for establishing a Creative Movement Arts Alternative School, assess its necessity, and provide a founda- tional framework for its implementation. The research employs a combination of literature review and qualitative methodologies. In-depth interviews were conducted using a structured questionnaire with students, parents, and experts, and their educational needs were analyzed based on constructivist grounded theory. The findings highlight key aspects essential for the development of a Creative Movement Arts Alternative School, including the cultivation of in- dependent and creative talents, the establishment of a curriculum that ensures both social recognition and artistic infrastructure, the integration of career ex- ploration opportunities connected to the local community, and the adoption of a flexible school management approach. Furthermore, the study underscores the need to depart from conventional entrance exam-oriented dance education and instead develop a distinctive, creativity-driven dance education model that equips students with the competencies required for diverse career paths. Based on these insights, this study proposes the establishment of an urban alternative school that allows students to commute, with a two-year program comprising a general education curriculum in the first year and an advanced specialization curriculum in the second year.
