예비 교사를 대상으로 한 마이크로티칭의 효과와 운영 전략 탐색

본 연구의 목적은 예비교사 대상의 마이크로티칭에 대한 경험적 효과를 질적으로 도출하고, 보다 발전적인 마이크로티칭의 운영 전략을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 수도권 소재 A여자대학에 재학 중인 예비교사들 중 20명을 대상으로 마이크로티칭의 일반적 절차인 사전 교육, 1차 마이크로티칭, 피드백, 2차 마이크로티칭, 피드백 등에 따라 마이크로티칭을 실시하고 마이크로티칭에 대한 예비교사들의 경험을 성찰보고서, 면담 등의 자료를 중심으로 수업 전문성 관점에서 분석하여 마이크로티칭의 효과와 운영 전략을 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 예비교사들은 마이크로티칭을 통해 ‘반성적 실천’, ‘전문가적인 태도 형성’, ‘학습자 중심 수업에 대한 인식’ 등의 효과가 있었다. 또한 보다 효과적인 마이크로티칭을 운영하기 위하여 첫째, 수업행동분석실을 이용한 마이크로티칭 실시, 둘째, 장기적인 마이크로티칭 운영, 셋째, 교직 과목에서 ‘교수-학습과정안 작성’과 같은 실제적 내용 강화, 넷째, 마이크로티칭시 역할극 도입 등의 전략이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 마이크로티칭의 단편적인 효과를 실증적으로 연구한 경향에서 벗어나, 질적으로 종합적인 효과를 도출함으로써 수업 전문성의 관점에서 마이크로티칭의 활용 가능성을 보다 확장하였다는 데에 그 의의가 있으며, 마이크로티칭이 예비교사들의 수업 전문성 제고를 위해 필수적인 프로그램이라는 것을 다시 한 번 확인하게 되어 선행연구의 성과를 귀납적으로 확장하는 데 기여하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to explore the effectiveness and strategies on microteaching as one of teacher education programs. 20 student teachers of A Women's University which were trained for microteaching evaluated the effectiveness on their microteaching experience and elicited improvements of microteaching methods. The effectiveness and improvements on microteaching were analyzed through reflection journals and an in-depth interview. According to the findings, student teachers acquired opportunities of 'reflective practice', 'building professional attitude', and 'understanding of the importance of learners centered instruction'. Also, they reported improvements for microteaching. This study made four suggestions to enhance the quality of microteaching. First, we should operate microteaching at teaching laboratory which was set video camera system and observation facilities. Second, we should operate microteaching as long-term program. Third, we should provide programs for practice of instructional design. Fourth, we should include real classroom atmosphere during microteaching.
