근린지역을 중심으로 한 전업주부들의 자가용-비통근 통행특성

초록

세컨드카 수요는 자동차 수가 계속해서 증가하는 주요 원인 중 하나이다. 그리고 이러한 수요는 근린 내 주부들의 일상생활 목적 자가용-비(非)통근 통행과 밀접한 관련이 있다. 이 연구는 자동차를 줄이고 걷기 좋은 근린을 꾀하는 시대적 흐름 속에 근린 유형별 자가용 통행의 양태를 나타내는 데 목적이 있다. 서울의 근린주구 유형에 따라 형성시기와 물리적 환경이 서로 다른 4곳(성산·상계·행당·잠실동)을 대상으로, 근린 내 통행과 체류가 많을 것으로 기대되는 초등학교 1~3학년 자녀를 가진 전업주부 40명의 일주일(평일 5일+주말 2일)간 통행일지를 조사하였다. 1823회의 통행을 수집하여 그중 726회의 자동차 통행을 분석대상으로 삼았으며, 전업주부의 자가용 통행이 대상지별로 이동거리·이동목적·이동시간의 3가지 측면에서 갖는 차이와 특성을 설명하였다. 이는 근린지역에서 일어나는 자가용-비통근 통행특성을 정확한 위치 데이터를 바탕으로 실증 분석했다는 데 연구적 가치가 있다.

Abstract

This research analyzes the travel behavior of full-time housewives' car-use to identify the car demand in the residential neighborhood. This research is based on 40 mothers' travel diaries who have 7-10 years-old children. For representing a different characteristic of each neighborhood, the travel diary survey was documented from respondents in four residential areas of Seoul. Based on the travel behavior of housewives who are expected to have much time in neighborhood area, this research finds which factors have affected on own-vehicle demand and inspires the way how can make less-vehicle neighborhood planning. The result has shown that the travel patterns, including travel duration, purpose, and distance, are relevant with the environmental structure of neighborhood.
