초록

본 연구의 목적은 창의성 증진을 위한 유아대상 미디어 교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 미디어 교육 프로그램은 미디어와 미디어를 통해 제공되는 정보를 이해하고, 분석하고 더 나아가 창의적으로 사고할 수 있는 능력을 기를 수 있도록 구성되어야 한다. 창의성 증진을 위한 유아대상 미디어 교육 프로그램의 개발은 우선, 창의성 및 미디어 교육에 관한 문헌고찰을 통해 창의성 정의와 요인을 찾아내고, 유아를 대상으로 하는 미디어 교육 방법을 조사하였다. 유아들의 창의성을 증진하기 위한 미디어 교육 방법은 미디어에 노출, 미디어 작품 감상, 미디어 내용 분석, 미디어 제작의 단계로 이루어졌다. 창의성을 표현할 수 있는 학습활동으로 언어 및 신체 표현, 그리기, 만들기, 역할놀이 등으로 구성되었다. 프로그램 개발 과정에는 유치원 교사 2인이 참여하였다. 분석과 설계 단계에서는, 서울 S유치원 6～7세 유아 160명을 대상으로 그들이 즐겨보는 비디오 프로그램과 주제에 관한 조사를 하였다. 개발 단계에서는, 유아의 관심 주제에 따른 교수자료와 활동지를 개발하였다. 적용과 평가 단계에서는, 개발된 프로그램을 7세 20명에게 적용하여 관찰 결과에 따라 수정하였다. 최종적으로, 10개의 주제로 구성된 미디어 교육프로그램이 개발되었다. 이와 같은 개발 과정과 결과를 토대로 하여 세 가지 제언을 하고자 한다. 첫째, 유아를 대상으로 하는 미디어 교육프로그램은 각각의 미디어가 갖고 있는 특성들을 고려한 차별화된 프로그램이 개발되어야 한다. 둘째, 유아의 인지적, 신체적, 심리적 특성에 대한 충분한 이해를 바탕으로 유아대상 미디어 교육 프로그램이 개발되어야 한다. 셋째, 유아들이 직접 미디어 제작과정에 참여함으로써 이를 통해 창의적인 사고를 할 수 있는 기회가 제공되어야 한다.

Abstract

This study is to develop media education program for the improvement of creativity of the early childhood learners. Through examining literature we derived out the factors of creativity, and analyzed the objectives, contents, and methods of media education for improvement of creativity of early childhood learners. Second, we derived design principles of a media education program to promote creativity based on eight factors. Finally, we developed a media education program for early childhood learners based on the designed framework. The framework of this program is focused on drawing out the factors of creativity that the early childhood learners already have. The factors can be extracted when the early childhood learners are exposed to visual and auditory components and movement in the media. And children learn to appreciate media works, discuss their thought with friends, and produce their own media. Based on the results of this research, some suggestions for future studies are as follows: First, it is according to the diverse features of media that more media education programs for early childhood learners should be developed. Second, media education programs for early childhood learners should be developed systematically based on deeper understanding of the learners. Third, the media education for early childhood learners should allow learners to participate in the process of producing their own media.
