유아교사를 위한 미디어 리터러시 교육 프로그램 설계 전략

본 연구는 유아교사를 위한 미디어 리터러시 교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 미디어 리터러시 교육 프로그램은 다양한 미디어로 자신의 생각을 표현할 수 있고, 협력을 통해 사회 구성원들간의 효과적인 의사소통을 할 수 있는 총체적 능력을 기를 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 유아 교사의 미디어 리터러시 능력을 향상하기 위한 미디어 리터러시 교육 설계를 세 가지 전략으로 구성하였다. 첫째, 유아 교사의 미디어 리터러시 필요 능력으로 유아 교사의 특성과 미디어 리터러시 개념을 기반으로 유아와 미디어에 대한 이해, 교수설계능력, 수업에 적용 및 성찰 능력, 비판적 의사소통 능력, 적극적인 협력 능력, 다상징 미디어의 사용 능력, 창의적 미디어 생산 능력을 도출하였다. 둘째, 다양한 표상과 성찰을 통한 학습을 위해 레지오 에밀리아 접근법의 상징화 주기를 적용하여 설계하였다. 셋째, 구체적 교수 학습 지원전략으로 두 전략을 기반으로 맥락, 프로젝트, 비평, 실천, 협력, 생산의 과정을 통해 세밀한 교수 학습의 지원이 이루어지도록 설계하였다. 이러한 설계 전략을 바탕으로 유아교사 미디어 리터러시 교육의 주요내용으로 미디어 리터러시의 이해, 미디어를 통하여 가르치고 배우는 방법, 시청각 리터러시, 유아의 리터러시, 디지털 리터러시 등의 개념 이해를 기반으로 한 학습과, 상징화 주기에 따른 다양한 표상과 성찰 활동을 통해 교수 학습에 필요한 미디어 텍스트를 직접 생산해 내는 생산 중심 학습 과정으로 구성되었다. 이는 미디어가 지원하는 온오프라인 블랜디드 학습 형태로 진행될 것이다. 본 연구는 유아 교사 미디어 리터러시 교육에 레지오 에밀리아 접근법과 같은 실천적 방법을 설계 전략으로 사용한 것이다. 앞으로, 미디어 리터러시 교육을 위해 다양한 전략들이 개발되어야 할 것이며, 유아에서 노인까지 다양한 계층의 학습자에게 적합한 미디어 리터러시 교육 프로그램이 개발될 필요가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to develop media literacy education program for early childhood teacher education. Media literacy education should have learner foster the ability of diversity expressions with media, and the wholistic ability of effectiveness communication with collaboration in a group. We define that early childhood teachers' media literacy ability is that of instructional design and applying through media appliance, of critical interpretation and sharing in a group, and of operation and production with media. The main principles of Reggio Emilia approach-cycles of symbolization with multiple representations and reflection- are used in media literacy program. Instructional supporting is set up with concrete teaching and learning supporting strategy-context, project, criticism, practice, collaboration and production. This program based on instructional strategy is the features with on-offline learning environment in media environment, supporting tool of conceptual understanding, practical guide material for children and early childhood teacher, sharing and supporting of media and media literacy digital resource. Directions for future study based on this research are suggested as followings: practical appliance in preschool and teacher education, studies of media literacy education program development according to learners and a study about early childhood media literacy.
