Abstract

This study analyzes the direct and indirect impact of perceived usefulness, level of focus, interaction, contents quality and structure on intention to use in the context of on-line supplemental education for high school student cases. Survey results from 203 high school students indicate that interaction and contents quality affects perceived usefulness and focus, which in turn affects the intention to use. However, the structure of contents has no significant effect on the level of focus. Within the context of arguing that the exploration of distinct user groups(a group of studying EBS contents and a group of preferring on-line private supplemental education service) is important, this case study also examines the multi-group differences in path coefficients. To this end, the structural model was tested and the relative influences of different dominants was investigated. Interesting group variation was found for some path coefficient. Several other findings and policy implications for EBS contents are also provided.
