티르소의 희곡, 『타마르의 복수』에 대한 오브제 분석

티르소의 『타마르의 복수』에서 오브제는 적극적으로 의미를 생성하고 의미망을 만들어 극 전반의 의미망을 유기적으로 구축해 나갔다. 특히 복식과 음식 오브제는 은유 연상망을 통해 타마르의 저항과 투쟁의 면모를 드러내는 데 핵심적 구실을 했다. 진홍색과 암적색으로 결말을 암시하는 복선 기능을 한 의상 오브제를 필두로 음식 오브제가 사건의 중심에 서면서 본격적인 의미를 생산해 나간다. 인간을 대상화한 암논의 음식 오브제가 타마르에 의해 변형된 의미의 오브제로 거듭나 명민한 거부 의사의 표상이 되었다. 이후 타마르의 주체적인 속성을 규정해 주는 상복은 인물의 파롤과 함께 적극적인 투쟁을 전개하지만, 그 시도는 굴절된다. 그러나 이 서글픈 몸부림의 의상 오브제는 베일 오브제로 변모하여 복수의 도화선으로 작동한다. 결국 타마르의 후식으로 오브제화한 암논의 육체는 타마르를 대상화했던 그대로 대상화되고 만다. 오랜 세월에 걸쳐 끓어오르고 잠재워지고 끓어오르고 잠재워지는 동안 응어리가 되어 유린당한 타마르 같은 이들의 집단적 욕망을 인식한 티르소는 성경의 에피소드를 토대로 의상과 음식 오브제를 유기적으로 엮어 『타마르의 복수』를 창조했다.
Abstract
In La venganza de Tamar written by Tirso de Molina, objects actively create meaning and create a network of meaning, organically constructing a network of meaning throughout the play. In particular, clothing and food objects played a key role in revealing Tamar’s resistance and struggle when Amnon insulted her with his pride, through a network of metaphorical associations. Starting with a clothing object in crimson and dark red that serves as a foreshadowing that hints at the ending, a food object stands at the center of the event. Amnon’s food object, which objectifies humans, was reborn as a food object with a transformed meaning by Tamar and became a symbol of Tamar’s sharp refusal. Afterwards, the mourning clothe that defines Tamar’s subjective attributes develop an active struggle with the character’s parole, but is refracted. This sad, struggling costume object acts as a fuse for revenge through the veil object, another costume object that symbolizes waiting for the right time in isolation from the royal palace. Finally, Amnon’s body, which was made into an object as Tamar’s dessert, ends up being objectified in the same way it objectified Tamar.
