자율형 사립고등학교에 대한 구성원의 인식 및학생의 학교 만족도 결정요인 분석

연구는 자율형 사립고등학교의 구성원들이 학교에 대해 가지는 인식을 조사하고, 학생의 학교 만족도에 영향을미치는 요인을 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 자율형 사립고등학교를 전수 조사하였으며, 재학 중인 학생, 학부모, 교사들을 대상으로 학교에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 아울러 다층모형 분석을 실시하여 학생의 학교 만족도에영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 자율형 사립고의 지정 취지와 교육 중점 간에는 이질적 차이가 존재하고, 학생과 학부모의 학교 만족도와학생의 사교육 참여 시간 사이에는 역의 관계가 나타났다. 또한 학생과 학부모의 진학 이유는 ‘성적 향상’이며, 학교내 교우관계의 명암이 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 한편, 학생들의 학교 만족도를 결정하는 요인을 분석한 결과, 학생의자기주도성 및 진로의식 정도, 학부모의 학교 만족도가 학생의 학교 만족도와 밀접하게 관련이 있는 요인으로 나타났다. 이런 분석 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 자율형 사립고가 성적 향상을 위한 교육과정 운영에서 벗어나 특색 있는교육과정 강화로 선회할 수 있도록 학교 및 교육과정 운영의 기본 방향을 개선시키고, 자율형 사립고등학교에서과도한 성적 중시 문화를 개선시키기 위한 노력이 필요함을 정책적 시사점으로 제언하는 바이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptions of the APHS members about their school curriculum and management and to identify the factors influencing students' school satisfaction. For this purpose, this study surveyed the perception of the APHS for students, their parents, and teachers from all APHSs nationwide. We utilize the multi-level analysis in order to verify the critical factors influencing student perception about school satisfaction. As a result, we find that there is a contradiction between the designated purpose of the APHSs and their actual operational strategies related to the school curriculum. Our results also indicate that the self-direction, career consciousness, and parents' school satisfaction are the most influential factors of enhancing the positive student satisfaction on school. Based on these results, this study suggests that the APHS improves the quality of school curriculum and strategies so that it would be turned into strengthening the characteristic curriculum in accordance with school vision. Furthermore, policy efforts should be made to ameliorate the culture that emphasizes excessive academic achievement in APHSs
