중학생의 진로개발역량과 진로교육 경험, 부모지지 및 자기주도 학습 간의 구조적 관계

초록

이 연구는 중학생의 진로개발역량(CDC: career development competencies)과 진로교육 경험, 부모지지 및 자기주도학습간의 구조적 관계를 밝히는 데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 이미 고등학생을 대상으로 검증된CDC Model을 경험적 근거로 하였으며, 분석 자료는 한국직업능력개발원의 ‘2018년 초･중등 진로교육 현황조사’의중학교 3학년 9,122명의 데이터를 활용하고 구조방정식 모델링을 통해 분석하였다. 주요연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이 연구에서 설정한 중학생의 CDC Model은 관련 변인 간의 구조적 관계를 예측하는 데 적합한 것으로 입증되었다. 둘째, CDC Model 내에서 중학생의 진로교육 경험과 부모지지는 자기주도 학습과 진로개발역량에 그리고 자기주도학습은 진로개발역량에 직접 정적인 영향을 미치는 것이 밝혀졌다. 셋째, CDC Model 내에서 중학생의 자기주도학습은 관련 변인을 매개하는 것으로 실증되었다. 특히, 진로교육 경험과 부모지지가 진로개발역량에 미치는 직접효과보다 자기주도 학습을 매개로 한 간접효과가 더 높게 나타나 자기주도 학습은 진로개발역량 관련 변인 간의 주요매개변인 역할을 하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이 연구 결과를 바탕으로 중학생의 진로개발역량 증진을 위한 진로교육경험, 부모지지, 자기주도 학습 간의 구조관계에 대한 함의와 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to identify structural relations among career development competencies(CDC), career education experience(CEE), parent support(PS), self-directed learning(SDL) of the korean middle school students. For this purpose, a hypothetical structural model was set and tested, and the relations among variables within the model were identified. The analysis data was used by middle school students in the current status survey of secondary career education(2017‘s n=9,386) of the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training. Finally, the latest data of middle school` students(2018’s n=9,122) was mainly used. The statistics programs used for analysis are SPSS & AMOS version 25.0. The major results of this study were as follows; first, the goodness-of-fit of hypothetical structural model among CEE, PS, SDL and CDC was satisfactory, which confirmed the structural relationships among the variables. Second, CEE and PS had a direct and positive effects on SDL and CDC, and SDL has a direct and positive effect on CDC. Third, the mediating effect of SDL of middle school students was confirmed in the CDC Model. In particular, SDL was found to be an important mediator between CDC-related variables, as the indirect effect mediated by self-directed learning was higher than the direct effect of career education experience and parent support on CDC. Finally, the implications and limitations of the present study were discussed, and suggestions for further research were presented.
