Abstract
This thesis aims to prove the effectiveness of exercise for reducing the rate of contraction of a metabolic syndrome associated with obesity of a person who has FTO mutant genes by analysing the effect of overweight middle-life women's doing twelve-week-long aerobic exercise on the risk factors on metabolic diseases. The method used in this study was to examine the frequency of revelation of FTO genes by analysing, AA+AT group(n=7) and TT group(n=13), according to the FTO polymorphism, both of which conducted forty-to-sixty-percent-intensive aerobic exercises ninety minutes a day, three days a week, for twelve weeks. Measured items include body formation, respiratory circulation function, risk factors on metabolic diseases, and cytokine. In FTO gene polymorphism, 13 persons(65%) with TT-homozygous, 5 persons(25%) with AT-heterozygous, 2 persons with AA-homozygous were found and 78% and 22% were found to be T and A type respectively. Body weight, BMI, %fat, LBM showed significant differences concerning periods and represented an interaction between group × period in %fat. Risk factors of metabolic syndrome showed significant differences regarding periods in TG, HDL-C, insulin, glucose, SBR and waistline and represented an interaction between group x period in. Cytokine showed the difference concerning periods in visfatin(p<.01) and also represented the difference among groups in adiponectin(p<.05).
