대학생의 생애목표 유형 분석과 진로의식 및 대학생활적응과의 관계 탐색

초록

본 연구에서는 잠재프로파일 분석을 활용하여 대학생의 생애목표 유형에 따라 어떠한 잠재집단이 존재하는지를확인하고, 잠재집단별로 대학생의 진로의식과 대학생활적응에 차이가 있는지 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를위해 한국교육종단연구 자료의 7차년도 3,681명의 데이터를 활용하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 잠재프로파일 분석 결과 (1) 출세중도형 집단, (2) 출세중도-명예지향형 집단, (3) 출세약세형 집단, (4) 출세우세형 집단의 네 개 유형이 확인되었다. 둘째, ANOVA를 이용하여 각 집단별로 진로의식과 대학생활에차이가 있는지 확인을 한 결과, 출세우세형 집단이 진로의식의 구체성, 자기이해, 자기결정성이 가장 높았고, 대학생활적응에서도 대인관계 만족도와 학습과정 수준이 가장 높아 전반적으로 적응적 특성들을 가장 높게 나타냈다. 반면, 출세중도형집단은 진로의식 수동성이 가장 높았고, 자기결정성, 학습과정은 가장 낮아 전반적으로 가장 부적응적 특성들을보여주는 잠재집단으로 확인되었다. 나머지 출세중도-명예지향형 집단과 출세약세형 집단은 중간 수준의 진로의식과대학생활적응이 혼재되는 양상을 나타냈다. 본 연구는 대학생의 생애목표 유형을 다중 속성을 바탕으로 분석한 것으로, 바람직한 진로의식과 대학생활적응을위해 내재적 목표를 중심으로 다양한 목표 유형을 균형적으로 향상하는 노력이 필요함을 시사한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify what latent classes exist according to the life goal type of students, and to see if there are any differences in students' sense of career and college life adaptation, using latent profile analysis. Data for the seventh year of Korea Education Longitude Study were analyzed. The analysis identified four types: (1) the middle level success-oriented group, (2) the middle level success and honor oriented group, (3) the weak success-oriented group, and (4) the strong success-oriented group. Second, ANOVA was used to explore whether each group had a difference in sense of career and college life adaptation. The strong success oriented group had the highest specificity, self-understanding, and self-determination in sense of career, and the highest level of interpersonal satisfaction and learning process. On the other hand, the middle success oriented group had the highest passivity and the self-determination in sense of career, and learning process were the lowest. The middle success-honor oriented group and the weak success oriented group showed middle-level sense of career and college life adaptation. This study analyzes college students' life goal types based on multiple attributes, suggesting that efforts to balance various life goal types around intrinsic goals are needed for a desirable sense of career and college life adaptation.
