대학생의 진로자기이해, 진로자기효능감, 진로낙관성에 따른 잠재 프로파일 유형별 진로탐색행동과 진로준비행동의 차이

Examining Differences in College Students' Career Behaviors Based on Career Self-Understanding, Self-Efficacy, and Optimism: A Latent Profile Analysis

초록

본 연구는 대학생의 진로자기이해, 진로자기효능감, 진로낙관성에 따른 잠재집단을 확인하고, 각 집단에 따라 진로탐색행동과 진로준비행동에 유의미한 차이가 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 국내 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 1,101명을 대상으로 잠재 프로파일 분석(LPA)을 실시한 결과, 총 4개의 집단이 도출되었다. 모든 영역에서 낮은 수준을 보인 ‘정체 집단’(3.9%), 모든 영역에서 보통 수준을 보인 ‘보통 집단’(34.5%), 모든 영역에서 보통 수준 중 높은 점수를 차지한 ‘성장 집단’(48.4%), 모든 영역에서 높은 수준을 보인 ‘선두 집단’(13.2%)으로 구분되었다. 이러한 잠재집단에 성별이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, ‘선두 집단’은 진로탐색행동과 진로준비행동의 모든 하위 영역에서 가장 높은 점수를 보였고 ‘성장 집단’, ‘보통 집단’, ‘정체 집단’ 순으로 높은 점수를 보였다. 마지막으로 집단 간 가장 큰 차이를 보이는 변인이 진로자기효능감이라는 결과는 대학생들의 진로탐색 및 진로준비행동을 촉진하기 위해 진로자기효능감이 중요하게 다루어져야 함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 진로자기이해, 진로낙관성, 진로자기효능감을 통합적으로 고려하여 집단 간 양상을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 진로탐색행동과 진로준비행동 간의 관계를 파악했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 이러한 연구는 진로 행동 영역에 대한 후속 연구의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify latent groups of university students based on career self-understanding, self-efficacy, and optimism, and to examine whether significant differences in career exploration and preparation behaviors exist across these groups. A total of 1,101 students enrolled in four-year universities were recruited, and four groups were identified through latent profile analysis (LPA). The 'Stagnant Group' (3.9%) showed low levels across all areas, the 'Moderate Group' (34.5%) exhibited moderate levels, the 'Developmental Group' (48.4%) had higher-than-moderate levels, and the 'Leading Group' (13.2%) showed high levels in all areas. Gender was found to significantly influence membership in these latent groups. The 'Leading Group' had the highest scores in all sub-domains of career exploration and preparation behaviors, followed by the 'Developmental Group,' 'Moderate Group,' and 'Stagnant Group.' Finally, the results showed that career self-efficacy accounted for the largest differences among the groups, suggesting that interventions targeting career self efficacy could enhance career exploration and preparation behaviors among university students. This study is significant as it integrates career self-understanding, self-efficacy, and optimism to analyze group patterns and identify relationships between career exploration and preparation behaviors. It can serve as foundational data for future research on career behaviors.
