통일 교육의 효율성 제고를 위한 도덕교육에 대한 비판적 고찰-고등학교 『도덕』교과서를 중심으로-

본 논문은 고등학교 도덕 교과의 성격, 목표 및 내용 분석을 토대로 통일 교육의 문제점과 방향을 지적하였다. 통일 교육의 목표는 ‘형식적인 통일’이 아니라 ‘사실상의 통일’을 지향하고, 지적정의적실천적 측면을 통합적으로 다루고 있다. 하지만 도덕 교과서의 내용은 이러한 목표상의 방향을 실현하기엔 개선의 여지를 많이 가지고 있었다. 다음의 관점에서 통일 교육을 위한 교과서 기술을 위한 대안을 제시하였다.첫째, 통일 교육의 내용은 정치 혹은 경제 등 한 분야에 치우침 없이 통합적이고 객관적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 해야 한다. 이를 위해 내재적 접근, 상호작용의 보편주의, 탈북자 적응 상황, 사회학적 상상력 등의 도입을 주장하였다.둘째, 통일 교육의 방법은 강의식에서 학생 중심의 자기 주도적 학습 방법이 가능하도록 해야 한다. 이를 위해 구성주의적 접근을 제시하였다.셋째, 통일 교육은 남북한 및 국제 환경의 변화에 민감하게 반응하는 특성을 지니고 있으므로 상황 변화에 적응할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 이를 위해 ICT 활용 수업의 직접적 도입을 강조하였다.
Abstract
This study presents problems and directions of unification education based on analysis of characteristics, goals, and contents in ‘Ethics,' which is a highschool course. The unification education aims at not ‘formula unification' but ‘de facto unification,'and deals with sides of knowledge, affection, and behavior as a whole. However, there were many ways to improve to make those goals come true according to contents in the textbook. Therefore, alternative ways in compiling a textbook are presented with these points of view on unification education. First, contents of unification education have to be integrated and objective without a bias of one field, such as politics and economics. For this, we argued introduction of immanent approach, interactive universalism, accommodating situation of North Korean refugees, and sociological imagination. Second, methods of unification education have to be self-leading study rather than a lecture. For this, we presented constructive approach. Third, unification education has to meet a situational change since it has the characteristic, which makes sensitive reaction to changes of north-south or international circumstances. For this, we emphasized on direct introduction of ICT-oriented class.
