이 논문은 이해하는 존재인 인간의 본성적 특성인 이성(理性) 개념에 대해 논의하고 있다. 이성개념을 이해하기 위해 먼저 이 개념을 정의했던 이해의 계보사를 다룬다. 고 중세 철학에서 이성 개념이 존재론적이면서 인식론적 특성을 지녔다면, 근대의 철학에서 이성 개념은 인식이성과 계몽이성으로 제한되기에 이른다. 이러한 근대적 이해를 넘어서려는 철학적 경향을 논의한 뒤, 이 글은 현재란 해석학적 지평에서 수용 가능한 이성 개념을 논의한다. 그 개념은 철학사적 맥락에서는 해체론적이며 다른 한편 전통 형이상학의 이성 이해를 감내하면서 극복하려는 탈형이상학(postmetaphysics)적 맥락에서 이해되는 개념이다. 그러한 이성 개념을 의미를 드러내는 인간의 지성적 노력과 함께 하는 내적 능력, 허무주의를 넘어서는 생명성과 연결 지워 제시한다.
Abstract
In this article, I will discuss the concept of reason in the present philosophical context. The human being is an existence to understand, and the reason is an essential nature for that. For this discussion I explained the genealogy of the concept of reason. In the ancient philosophy this conception is ontological and epistemological. In contrast of that the conception of reason is in the modern philosophy restricted to the epistemological and enlightenment aspect. Following this explanation I tried to present the understanding of the “after modern” philosophical context. This conception is acceptable in the present philosophical horizon. On the philosophical context that is on side destructional either postmetaphysical. Such propose is connection on built human intellectual effort and beyond nihilism in order to find meaning on the meaningless era.
