Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of job insecurity on employee cooperation behavior and the mediating effect of workaholism. Also, this study examined the moderating effect of goal interdependence on the relationship between workaholism and employee cooperation behavior. Using the survey research method, data were collected from 219 employees who were working in a variety of organizations in Korea. As results, job insecurity had negative relationship with employee cooperation behavior. And workaholism had partial mediation effect on the relationship between job insecurity and employee cooperation behavior. And goal interdependence had moderation effect on the relationship between compulsive-dependent workaholism and employee cooperation behavior. That is, the negative relationship between compulsive-dependent workaholism and employee cooperation behavior was weaker when goal interdependence was high rather than low. On the other hand, the moderating effect of goal interdependence on relationship between achievement oriented workaholism and employee cooperation behavior was not significant. Finally, based on these results, we discussed the implications and limitations of the study, and the suggestions for the future research.
