초록
The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in subjective health, body type recognition, mental health status and recovery from sleep fatigue according to the physical activity levels of Korean adolescents before and after COVID-19. A total of 112,251 subjects were used for the final analysis through Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey data. To achieve the purpose of the study, the collected data were analyzed through the SPSS 25.0 version program with Chi-Square and independent t-test. As a result, first the perception of overweight increased in subjective body type recognition before and after COVID-19, and physical activity level decreased. On the other had, the levels of strength training, mental health and sleep fatigue recovery were found to increase, and there was no statistically significant difference in subjective health. Second we found that the higher physical activity and muscle strength training level, the more sufficient the adolescents’ sleep fatigue recovery. In addition, we found that sufficient sleep fatigue recovery had a positive effect on mental health and sadness and despair status. Through the results of this study, we found that physical activity types and levels preferred by adolescents during the COVID-19 period were changed. Therefore, we considered that it is necessary to present a physical activity program that can be applied to the COVID-19 situation for the purpose of promoting the physical and mental health of adolescents.
