Abstract
The primary purpose of this field-based pilot study was to investigate the feasibility of the use of a web-based video adapted physical education consultation model. The secondary purpose was to increase the duration of attentive and to decrease nonresponsive behavior of a student with autism in a physical education class specifically during the warm-up activities. With the consulting service by two adapted physical educators, a regular physical educator taught a 13-year old male student with autism enrolled in an inclusive middle school physical education class in Korea with 32 other students without disabilities. The results suggested that the web-based video consultation model of behavior management was effective in increasing the on-task attention of a child with autism the class warm up activities within an inclusive physical education class, increasing up to 100% of intervals of area during the treatment phase and dropping slightly but acceptable level in retention phase. The implications of the results were discussed.
