대학생의 특수체육 교육기부 경험에 관한 내러티브 연구

이 연구는 내러티브 연구를 통하여 대학생들의 특수체육 교육기부 프로그램 참여 경험에 관해 살펴보았다. 준거적 선택 방법을 통해 연구참여자 3명을 선정하였으며, 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였고, ‘내러티브 탐구 절차’에 따라 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘대학생의 특수체육 교육기부 경험의 어려움과 극복에 관한 내용이다. 연구참여자들은 장애학생을 가르치는 것이 처음이라 두려움과 부담감을 가지고 있었으며, 학부모 상담의 어려움마저 겪고 있었다. 그러나 눈높이 의사소통의 자세, 피드백을 통한 교정을 통해 교육기부의 어려움을 극복할 수 있었다. 또한, 지도 경험의 부족함과 보조교사의 인원이 부족, 열악한 특수체육 시설 등을 교육기부의 어려운 점이라고 하였다. 이를 해결하고자 특수체육 스터디를 통한 자기 계발, 장애학생의 신체적 특성에 따른 분배, 보조교사 활용을 통해 어려움을 극복하였다. 장애인에 대한 선입견으로 인해, 비장애인과는 달리 장애인은 라포 형성의 어려움이 있다고 하였다. 그러나 적극적인 인사와 스킨십, 틀린 것이 아니라 다른 것이라는 인식 전환을 통해 교육기부를 실천해왔다. 둘째, 특수체육 교육기부 경험의 의미에 관한 내용이다. 연구참여자들은 특수체육 교육기부 경험을 자기성찰의 시간으로 생각하고 있다. 또한, 특수체육 교육기부 경험을 장애에 대한 인식 변화의 시간으로 생각하고 있다. 끝으로 특수체육 교육기부 프로그램을 경험한 후에 ‘뿌듯함’을 느끼게 되었다고 하였다.
Abstract
This study examined college students' experiences of participating in a 'donation for education' program focused on Adapted Physical Education through narrative inquiry. Three participants were selected using purposive sampling, and data were collected through in-depth interviews. Data analysis followed the 'narrative inquiry procedure'. The research findings are as follows: First, the study addressed the challenges and ways to overcome them in college students' experiences of 'donation for education' participation in Adapted Physical Education. Participants had initial fears and concerns as it was their first time teaching students with disabilities, and they also faced difficulties in parent counseling. However, by adopting an approach that involved communicating at the students' eye level and providing feedback for correction, they were able to overcome the challenges of 'donation for education'. In addition, the lack of coaching experience, insufficient assistant teachers, and inadequate facilities for Adapted Physical Education as challenging aspects of the program. To overcome these challenges, they engaged in self-development through participation in Adapted Physical Education studies, distributed tasks based on the students' physical characteristics, and made use of assistant teachers. Participant highlighted the existence of preconceptions about people with disabilities, leading to difficulties in forming rapport, unlike with non-disabled individuals. However, they were able to practice 'donation for education' through active greetings, physical contact, and a shift in perception from viewing differences as obstacles to embracing them as valuable characteristics. Second, the study focused on the significance of the experiences of participating in the 'donation for education' program for Adapted Physical Education. Participants considered their experiences as a time for self-reflection and a period for undergoing a change in their perceptions of disabilities. Lastly, after participating in the 'donation for education' program focused on Adapted Physical Education, they expressed feelings of pride and accomplishment.
