전통공예산업의 활성화 방안에 관한 연구 - 제도적 ․ 정책적 측면을 중심으로 -

Abstract

This study aims to contemplate on how to activate traditional craft industry, which is valued as a traditional cultural heritage and is also recognized as important in terms of industry, and ultimately to arouse public interest in traditional crafts to utilize them as basic data for the development of the actual traditional craft industry. For this purpose, this thesis puts together and organizes the institutional and political solutions suggested by former researches. The analysis shows that institutionally, there are various laws for the advancement of traditional craft industry, domestic and abroad. Also, establishment of government agencies in charge, Master system for transferring the skills and developing craft products, and other support systems including tax benefits are included in the range of institutional solutions. For political solutions, there were distribution and sales based on relevant laws of traditional craft industry advancement, designation of Excellent Products, cooperation with local governments, fostering of experts, and economic support such as funding and benefits in financing. A survey on experts based on these analyses of institutional and political solutions led to the conclusion that the enactment of separate laws and enforcement ordinances for traditional craft industry, unification of supporting teams and other authorities, establishment of solutions considering various stages of development, production, and sales, support for leading craft businesses, expansion of financial and tax benefits, medium and long term plans by unified administrative authorities, and activation of direct transaction markets such as exhibition are urgent activation solutions. This study has its limits of not using various methods when approaching solutions for activating traditional craft industry. Additional examinations on the effectiveness of the activation methods suggested by this paper are needed.
