Abstract

Regardless of the times, frame, or ‘power’ has always existed anywhere. The researcher has always thought that all phenomena occurring in society are inevitable by force, and he has expressed it through his work. This thesis is a study for the identity of the researcher’s work and the future direction. By citing Michel Foucault’s 『Surveillance and Punishment』 as a research method, the identity of power through today’s prison and surveillance system was studied. The ‘power’ defined by Foucault reminded us once again why researchers are engaged in artistic activities in the society of this age. In addition, so-called ‘minority art’ was studied in order to actively examine various pictorial investigations devoted to the problem of visualization of the power of the contemporary developed media environment and capitalist social environment. Virtually all actions may be socially determined. However, in the works of minority artists who speak as a means of art, they find commonalities with the researcher’s work. However, in the works of minority artists who speak as a means of art, they find commonalities with the researcher's work. The role of the artist is anti-social, and contemporary art exists as a medium through which the public communicates through the process of creation and change of a new style with a direct relationship with society. <training>, the researcher’s video work, is the story of everyone living in our time, including the researcher. Through this thesis, I learned that an artist must stand in a position where he can play a role in creating a gap in society, always raising a problem and evoking such complex moments of life. No matter what oppression and tyranny torments us, we must live, and such suffering makes us stronger. Through the Pink Panther in the <training> video, the researcher expressed the present us, who have to live in harmony by raising problems rather than living helplessly while giving up. As with minority artists, the artist’s role is to sustain a relationship with the sensuous or conceptual world while inhabiting the environment the present provides. This is the reason why researchers draw ‘power’, and continuous research is needed in the future according to various types of work.
