현대 미술은 감각적 경험의 확장을 통해 창의적 잠재력을 발현하고, 예술적 표현의 새로운 지평을 열어가고 있다. 미각을 주제로 한 입체 조형 작품은 감각적 경험의 중요성을 강조하며, 소비 문화와 정체성 탐구, 사회적 비판을 통해 현대 미술의 다원성과 실험성을 반영한다. 본 연구는 초등 예비 교사를 대상으로, 미각을 활용한 입체 조형 교육프로그램과 그 결과물을 정리한 사례 연구이다. 연구의 목적은 학생들이 미각을 활용한 조형 활동을 통해 감각을 새로운 차원으로 확장하고, 이를 바탕으로 미각적 경험을 시각화하는 과정을 기반으로 입체 조형의 교육적 의의를 밝히는 데 있다. 이 연구는 현대 미술에서 미각과 관련된 조각 작품 및 그 미술사적 배경을 탐구한 후, 이를 바탕으로 일상에서 경험한 미각적 감각을 입체 조형으로 표현한 과제와 에세이를 분석하는 데 중점을 두었다. 연구의 객관성을 확보하기 위해 초등교과서에서 미각과 관련된 내용을 분석하였다. 미각을 활용한 교육프로그램에서 다음과 같은 교육적 의의를 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 미각을 활용한 입체조형 수업을 통해 초등 예비교사의 창의적 표현과 감각 기반 사고를 확장하는 교육 효과를 검토하였다. 둘째, 도면 드로잉과 입체적 형태 학습을 통해 공간적 사고와 입체적 표현 능력을 심화하였다. 셋째, 작품을 통해 타인과 소통하며 시각적 소통 능력을 강화하였다. 넷째, 색채를 활용해 미각 경험을 효과적으로 전달하며 색채의 상징성과 감정적 조화를 탐구하였다. 다섯째, 창작 과정에서 자기 성취감과 만족감을 증진시켜 자기주도적 학습이 발전하였다. 여섯째, 다양한 재료를 활용하며 재료의 물성과 활용 방법을 학습하고, 작품 완성도를 높이는 기술적 접근법을 익혔다. 미각을 활용한 교육 프로그램은 학생들에게 비가시적인 감각적 경험을 시각화하는 과정에서 새로운 조형 언어를 습득할 수 있는 기회를 제공하며, 미술 교육에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.
Abstract
Contemporary art opens up new horizons of artistic expression by revealing creative possibilities through the expansion of sensory experience. Three-dimensional sculptures with the theme of taste emphasize the importance of sensory experience and reflect the pluralism and experimental nature of contemporary art through consumer culture, identity exploration, and social criticism. This study is a case study that summarizes the results of a three-dimensional modeling education program using taste for elementary preparatory teachers. The purpose of the study is to clarify the educational significance of three-dimensional modeling based on the process in which students expand their senses to a new dimension through modeling activities using taste and visualize their taste experience based on this. This study focuses on exploring sculptures related to aesthetics in contemporary art and their art historical background, and then analyzing assignments and essays that express the taste sensations experienced in daily life through three-dimensional modeling based on this. To ensure the objectivity of the study, the contents related to taste were analyzed in elementary school textbooks. The following educational significance was obtained from the education program using taste. First, the educational effect of expanding the creative expression and sensory-based thinking of elementary preparatory teachers through three-dimensional modeling classes using taste was examined. Secondly, they deepened their spatial thinking and three-dimensional expression abilities through drawing and learning about three-dimensional shapes. Thirdly, they communicated with others through their works and strengthened their visual communication abilities. Fourthly, they used colors to effectively convey their taste experiences and explored the symbolism and emotional harmony of colors. Fifthly, they increased their sense of self-accomplishment and satisfaction in the creative process, and developed their self-directed learning. Sixthly, they used various materials, learned about the physical properties of materials and how to use them, and acquired a technical approach to improve the completeness of their works. It was confirmed that the educational program using taste provided students with an opportunity to acquire a new formative language in the process of visualizing invisible sensory experiences, and that it can be effectively applied to art education.
