마음공부 프로그램을 통한 인성교육이 청소년의 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향

이 연구는 마음공부 프로그램을 통한 홀리스틱 인성교육이 청소년의 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 인구통계학적 특성을 배경 변인(성별, 학년)으로 인성교육을 독립변인으로, 사회성(준법성, 협동성, 사교성, 자주성, 책임감)을 종속변인으로 설정하였다. 자료처리는 요인분석, 신뢰도 검증, 상관관계분석, 중다회귀분석 방법을 사용하였다. 이 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인성교육의 하위변인 중 기본생활습관, 공동체의식, 자아확립, 효도⋅경애가 사회성 발달의 하위변인 중 준법성에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 인성교육의 하위변인 중 기본생활습관, 공동체의식, 자아확립, 자기존중의식, 효도⋅경애가 사회성 발달의 하위변인 중 협동성에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 마음공부 프로그램 참여한 학생의 인성교육 중 기본생활습관, 공동체의식, 자아확립, 효도⋅경애가 사회성 발달의 하위요인 중 사교성에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 인성교육의 하위변인 중 기본생활습관, 공동체의식, 자아확립, 자기존중의식이 사회성 발달의 하위변인 중 자주성에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 다섯째, 인성교육의 하위변인 중 기본생활습관, 공동체의식, 효도⋅경애가 사회성 발달의 하위변인 중 책임감에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 이러한 연구결과를 통해 마음공부 프로그램을 통한 인성교육이 청소년의 사회성발달에 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effects of personality development education using the Mind Training Program on youth's social development and examined the characteristics of demographic statistics as background variables (gender and school year), personality development education as an independent variable, and social skills (respect for law, collaboration, sociability, independency, and responsibility) as dependent variables. The participants of this research are 250 students in three Won-Buddhist alternative high schools. The data were analyzed through multiple regression analysis using SPSS 16.0. The results of this research are as follows. First, the basic life style, a sense of community, identity formation, and filial piety/ respect for elders under the personality development education variables influenced significantly the respect for law among the sub-areas of social skill development. Second, the basic life style, a sense of community, identity formation, self-esteem, and filial piety/ respect for elders influenced significantly the collaboration among the sub-areas of social development. Third, the basic life style, a sense of community, identity formation, and filial piety/respect for elders influenced significantly the social skills among the sub-areas of social development. Fourth, the basic life style, a sense of community, identity formation, and self-esteem influenced significantly independency among the sub-areas of social development. Fifth, the basic life style, a sense of community and filial piety/respect for elders influenced significantly a sense of responsibility among the sub-areas of social development. Therefore, this research verified that personality development education using the Mind Training Program has more beneficial effect on youth's social development compared to general personality development education.
