바울 기독론과 누가 기독론의 연속성과 불연속성에 대한 연구

A Study on Continuity and Discontinuity between Pauline Christology and Lukan Christology

초록

논자는 이 논문에서 연속성과 불연속성의 견지에서 누가신학의 기독론과 바울신학 의 기독론을 비교 연구하고자 한다. 지금껏 예수와 바울 사이의 신학적 연속성과 불연 속성에 대한 연구는 많이 시도되었지만, 기독론의 관점에서 바울을 복음서 저자 중 한 명인 누가와 비교한 연구는 드물었다. 내가 이 주제에 관심을 갖게 된 것은 바울과 누 가 사이의 친밀한 인격적 관계 때문이다. 사도행전에 기록된 성경적 증거에 따르면, 바울과 누가는 제 2 차 선교 여행에 참여하는 동안 가까워졌으며, 나중에는 사제(師弟) 관계 또는 선교 여행의 동역자 관계로 발전하였다. 이러한 친밀한 관계를 참작할 때 우리는 그들 사이에 신학적 연속성이 있다고 가정 할 수 있을 터인데, 이것을 나는 기 독론의 관점에서 좀 더 발전시키고자 하였다. 연구의 결과로, 바울과 누가 사이에 구 원론적 기독론의 관점에서 연속성이 있다는 것이 밝혀졌는데, 누가는 거기서 멈추지 않고, 바울이 처한 사회적 및 문화적 상황으로 인해 교리적이고 변증적인 경향이 있는 바울신학의 기독론을 수정하거나 보완하고자 한 것으로 나타난다. 그렇다면 과연 누가 가 의도한 수정 혹은 보완은 무엇인가? 그것은 바로 누가신학 기독론의 사회복음적 요 소인데, 그 핵심은 섬김 및 봉사이다. 즉 섬김과 봉사의 사회적 기독론인 것이다. 이에 반하여, 바울의 기독론은 다분히 교리적 기독론이라 말할 수 있을 것이다. 이를 부연 하면, 바울은 하나님과 인간 사이의 수직적 관계의 관점에서 기독론을 규정하려는 경향이 있지만, 누가는 사회복음적 요소에 초점을 맞추어 인간과 인간사이의 수평적 관계의 관점에서 그것을 규정하려는 경향을 보이고 있는데, 바로 그것이 바울신학의 기독론과 누가신학의 기독론 사이의 불연속성을 드러내는 것이다. 그러므로 바울신학의 기독론과 차별화되는 누가신학의 기독론은 사회적 기독론으로 서 하나님과 사람 사이의 수직적 요소와 사람과 사람 사이의 수평적 요소를 모두 포용 함으로써 균형 잡힌 기독론을 제시하고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 이처럼 기독론에 사회 복음적 측면을 포함시킴으로써 누가는 기독교 신학의 완성에 큰 공헌을 남긴 것으로 평가된다.

Abstract

This article intends to compare Pauline Christology with Lukan Christology focusing on the theme of continuity and discontinuity. Although a quite of number of studies have been presented on theological continuity and discontinuity between Jesus and Paul, it seems surprising to note that it is rare to attempt to compare Paul with one of the evangelists, i.e. Luke, in terms of Christology. The reason why I come to indulge myself in this theme is because Paul and Luke are in close relationship to each other. According to biblical evidence in Acts, Paul and Luke get close while they are taking part in the second mission journey, which later evolves into teacher-disciple relationship or mutual partnership of mission journey. In saying so, we might assume that there is a theological continuity between them, on the basis of which I intend to delve into it further in terms of Christology. As a result of my exploration, it turns out that there is a continuity between them in terms of soteriological christology, but Luke does not stop there and pursue further to correct or complement Paul’s christology which tends to be dogmatic and apologetic due to his social and cultural environments. Then what is the correction or complement which Luke wants to make? That is an element of social gospel with which Lukan christology turns out to be servitude. To put it in other words, while Paul tends to understand christology in terms of vertical relationship of God to humans, Luke tends to delineate it in terms of horizontal relationship of humans to humans focusing on the aspect of social gospel which constitutes a discontinuity between Paul and Luke in terms of christology. In doing so, it comes to be finally that Luke seems to succeed in presenting a well balanced christology which should embrace vertical and horizontal elements of christology. In the final analysis, putting social aspect into christology is one of the great contributions that Luke has made for presenting christian theology.
