The purpose of this writing is to closely examine the political orientation in Choe In-hun's literature through it while tracing the Kantian reason that is shown in Choe In-hun's literature. Choe In-hun ever mentioned that it is a writer's political orientation with naming the modernly political sense in Europe as 'political utopian.' Based on it, this study is considering the political nature in Choe In-hun's literature through the modern reason in the Western Europe. Choe In-hun emphasized a literary role by reviving phenomena of realistic world in novels as for a political system and an ideological matter that suppress an individual. This conceptualizes rationality and leads to the modern planning by Kant who had pursued a problem of individual's political freedom as its practice. What reads out 'Kant' in Choe In-hun's literature can be said to function as a key that investigates a characteristic in Choe In-hun's literature that is both ideological and political.
