언어 불안이 문화적응 스트레스에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구- ‘재한(在韓) 중국인 학습자’를 중심으로

한국어 학습자가 느끼는 정의적 요인은 문화적응에 부분적으로 영향을 줄 수 있다. 본 연구는 재한 중국인 학습자의 언어 불안이 한국 문화적응 스트레스에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석한 것이다. 이를 위해 재한 중국인 학습자 273명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) 22.0 통계프로그램을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중국인 학습자는 의사소통의 어려움, 문화충격, 향수병과 한국어 학습 등으로 인해 문화적응 스트레스를 받는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 문화적응 스트레스와 언어 불안 간에는 정적으로 상관관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 재한 중국인 학습자의 언어 불안에 비해 문화적응 스트레스가 더 높게 나타난 것이 확인되었다. 넷째, 연구 대상의 인구 통계학적 특성에 따라, 학습 기간 1년 미만과 1~3년의 한국어 학습자가 3년의 한국어 학습자에 비해 문화적응 스트레스가 더 높게 나타난 것을 검증하였다. 다섯째, 재한 중국인 학습자의 문화적응 스트레스에 영향을 주는 요인들 가운데에는 언어 불안이 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 재한 중국인 학습자의 언어 불안이 문화적응 스트레스에 미치는 영향을 강조하고자 한다.
Abstract
The affective factors that international students experience can have a partial influence on Korean culture. This study is an analysis of the influence of language anxiety among Chinese learners in Korea on Korean cultural adaptation stress. For this purpose, 273 Chinese learners in Korea were surveyed, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was found that Chinese learners were subjected to cultural adaptation stress due to difficulties in communication, cultural shock, homesickness, and Korean language learning. Second, it was confirmed that there was a positive correlation between cultural adaptation stress and language anxiety. Third, it was confirmed that the stress of cultural adaptation was higher than that of language anxiety experienced by Chinese learners in Korea. Fourth, according to the demographic characteristics of the subjects, it was verified than 1 year of study and 1~3 years of Korean language learners showed higher cultural adaptation stress than those with learned Korean for more than three years. Fifth, it was confirmed that among the factors that influenced the cultural adaptation stress of Chinese learners in Korea, language anxiety had the greatest impact. Thus, the factors that cause cultural adaptation stress among Chinese learners (in Korea) are emphasized through this study.
