Abstract

This thesis analyzes the high school Japanese textbook of revised 2009 curriculum and classified 863 sentences according to six types of situation factors(Relation, place, time, content, act, participants). The results of analysis showed as below. 1) In public relation with dialogists, ‘unknown person-unknown person' represented 71(36.98%) of 192 sentences. In personal relation with dialogists, ‘friend-friend' represented 534(79.58%) of 671 sentences in the personal dialogues. 2) The places having a conversation were divided into three places where were the outside(167 places), the inside(664 places) and others(32 places). Street had the largest portion(71.86%) of the outside and classroom had a 53.16% share in the inside. 3) The time having a conversation represented 56 sentences in the morning, 266 sentences in the afternoon, 22 sentences in the evening, 519 unknown sentences in the dialogues. Meeting, leaving and New Year's greeting like「おはよう/おはようございます」,「こんにちは」,「こんばんは」,「おやすみなさい」,「あけましておめ でとうございます」 were the obvious expressions to recognize the time but the unknown sentences were generally in use. 4) ‘Information life(187)' was the most frequently used dialogues in daily life, followed by‘school life(142) and ‘family life(127)'. In social life, most dialogues were ‘leisure life(205)', followed by ‘food culture(120)' and ‘popular culture(47)'. Most dialogues mainly included questions about hobby and intention, asking and answering the time and place while going to school. 5) The act of conversation covered ‘Information delivery(question-answer)' that were 419 sentences, followed by it covered the act of request(suggestion-agreement/refusal) that were 146sentences. ‘Question-answer' to predict the expression to follow and ‘suggestion-agreement' to express personal emotions and opinions featured in the act of conversation. 6) ‘A-B(two people)' was mainly represented among dialogists. Most dialogues were the act of ‘question-answer'. Otherwise, it consists of introducing someone, conversation with a member of the family at a friend's house and text message with others. Dialogues of JapaneseⅠtextbook will enable learners to communicate with others in a correct expression depending on the real environment if the textbook shows diverse relations to dialogists and places where learners catch the time, Japan residential culture and traditional art, dialogues participated in the conversation more than two people regarding personal emotions and opinions.
