会話文における「なければならない」の意味分析

本稿では、会話文に現れる「なければならない」の意味を「なければならない」文の共起成分、文脈、他の表現との入れ替え、述 語の特徴、動作主の観点から分析した。 分析結果をもとに、本稿では「なければならない」は話し手が「なければならない」で表している事態の実現が必要であると判 断した場合に使われるモダリティ形式であると主張した。 分析結果を具体的に示すと以下のようになる。 「なければならない」は理由節、条件節、目的節と共起し、規則、ルールなどの文脈で使われることがわかった。また、「なけれ ばならない」は「必要がある」「ないわけにはいかない」「しかない」という表現と入れ替えられることも示した。さらに、「な ければならない」の述語は主に運動動詞であることも明らかにした。そして、本稿ではこれらの「なければならない」文の特徴を 「なければならない」の「必要がある」という意味と関連付けて説明した。 また、「なければならない」の「必要がある」の意味は動作主の人称によって派生的な意味を表すと述べた。1人称の場合は、 ＜話し手のこれからおかれる状況＞を表すと説明した。また、2人称の場合は＜話し手のこれからおかれる状況＞だけでなく、＜忠 告＞＜許可＞などの派生的な意味合いが生じることも明らかにした。また、3人称の場合は特定の人物でない場合が多いと述べた。 そして、この場合の「なければならない」は単に「必要がある」の意味を表すのではなく、「べきだ」「ものだ」に近い意味を表 すと説明した。
Abstract
This paper analyzed the meaning of "nakerebanaranai" in conversational sentences from the viewpoint of special features of the sentence, context, exchange with other expressions, the predicate and the agent. Based on the analysis, this study argues that "nakerebanaranai" in conversational sentences is a modal expression that denotes "it is necessary" within a proposition. "Nakerebanaranai" is used with Causal Clause, Conditional Clause, and Purposive Clause. And context with rules or regulations is used with it. This paper reveals "nakerebanaranai" can be exchanged with "it is necessary", "naiwakeniwaikanai""sikanai". Also, this paper reveals that the predicate of ''nakerebanaranai" in conversational sentences is mainly used as the action predicate. And this paper explains the characteristics of ''nakerebanaranai" in relation to the meaning of "it is necessary". This study also maintains that the meaning of "it is necessary" of ''Nakerebanaranai" has a derivative meaning by the agent. ''Nakerebanaranai" can express not only 'the situation that the speaker will be put in the future' but also a derivative meaning such as 'advice' and 'permission'.
