The connective -nurago is used in Korean complex sentences to indicate and clarify the reason for a negative result in the succeeding sentence. However, it is not so easy to explain the difference between other reason connectives used in real contexts and -nurago. This paper attempts to differentiate -nurago from other Korean reason connectives. It argues that -nurago is a combined connective that is composed of -nu and -rago. Next the basic grammatical function of -nurago and its constraints is explained. Lastly the incorrect use of -nurago by non native speakers of Korean language is explored.
