한국 현대소설과 각색 드라마의 서사학적 비교 연구

본 논문은 원작 소설 <새야 새야>와 각색 드라마 <새야 새야>를 서사학적 관점에서 스토리 국면과 서사적 시간성, 그리고 서술태도와 내포작가/연출가의 관념적 태도의 상관성 등을 비교하여 서사적 특성을 규명함으로써 두 예술장르의 통섭 가능성을 모색해보는 데 목적이 있다.먼저 원작 소설의 플롯은 ‘결합 모티프’로 이루어져 있어 독자의 상상력을 통해 사건의 인과적 관계를 유추해 내야 하는 구조로 이루어져 있다. 이에 비해 각색한 드라마의 시퀀스는 사건의 인과적 관계를 분명하게 드러내기 위해 ‘결합 모티프’와 ‘자유 모티프’를 자연스럽게 연계하여 서술함으로써 서사 과정의 실상을 구체적으로 제시하는 구조를 지향하고 있다.또한 원작 소설의 시간 역전은 계기성과 인과성, 그리고 핍진성과 구조적 상관성을 이루어 ‘폭로의 플롯’을 형성하는 한편, 모성애로의 회귀라는 주제와 긴밀하게 조응하는 동시에 독자들이 틈입하여 의미를 생성해 내도록 추동하고 있다. 드라마 <새야 새야>의 시간 역전 역시 인과성과 계기성뿐 아니라 완결성을 강화함으로써 주제를 부각시키고 현실재구성하여 시나리오의 내포작가나 드라마의 연출가가 지향하는 ‘사랑의 진정성과 그를 통한 인간의 구원’이라는 이데올로기를 효과적으로 전달하는 데 기여하고 있다.원작 소설 <새야 새야>는 표층 구조로 볼 때는 3인칭 전지적 서술 상황을 보이고 있다. 외부 시점과 내부 시점, 작가 서술상황과 인물 서술상황이 혼효하고, 다원적으로 초점화하여 사랑의 진정성, 또는 모성애와 같은 원형적 사랑만이 인간을 구원할 수 있다는 실존적 의미를 서사화하고 있다. 드라마 <새야 새야> 또한 외적
Abstract
The main purpose of this thesis is to determine the narrative characteristics of the novel Birds, Birds and its dramatization by comparing the elements of story, narrative timing, and the interrelationship between the narrative attitude and the director’s ideology from a narrative perspective. The plot in the novel Birds, Birds and the sequence in the drama expresses the fictional life of a psychotic woman living with a family of disabled people, who is continuously repressed by society and has no other choice but to choose death, being deprived of the basic foundations of life. Both the novel and the drama use the method of a time reversion narrative to stimulate the reader’s imagination, and, based on the mechanicality and the humanity of events, pursue aesthetic completeness. The novel Birds, Birds and the drama of the same name express the ideology of the author and the director, in which only genuine love can overcome the tragic life of a psychotic woman living with a family of disabled people.
