「누들로드」는 몇 부분에서 TV 다큐멘터리의 새 지평을 연 것으로 평가되고 있다. 특별히 「누들로드」는 ‘구성된 이야기성’의 효과적인 전달을 위해 새로운 영상기법을 선보이면서, 세련되었으며 신뢰할만한 프리젠터인 켄 홈을 투입해 극적 효과를 꾀하고 있다. 이 글은 이런 효과가 내레이션 화법과 인터뷰의 언술적 효과에서 결과한다는 판단아래, 이를 다양한 각도에서 면밀하게 분석․해석해보고자 했다. 분석 과정에서도 확인할 수 있듯, 다큐멘터리는 내레이션에서 쓰는 단어, 문장 스타일, 어조와 톤, 인터뷰 활용방식 등에 따라 수용자적 정서가 확연히 달라진다. 궁극적으로 이 글은 「누들로드」의 새로운 영상기법을 해소하는 핵심에 내레이션 화법이 얼마나 중요한지를 다시 한번 각인시키고 있다.
Abstract
‘Noodleroad’ is evaluated as having opened up a new horizon in TV documentaries in several respects. ‘Noodleroad’ has particularly introduced a new image technique whereby effective ‘constructed storytelling,’ is conveyed, while attempting to create dramatic effects by introducing Ken Hom, the presenter, who is sophisticated and reliable. Under the assumption that such effects result from descriptive effects of narrations and interview, this study/article/paper proposes to analyze and interpret this in detail from various perspectives. As confirmable in the process of analyzing, a documentary could clearly elicit different emotions on the part of the receiver or audience , depending on the words used in narrating, sentential style, tone of wording, way of using interview and so forth. Ultimately, this study/paper/article imprints again on the minds of the readers how important the narrative manner of speaking is to the essence where the new image technique of ‘Noodleroad’ is eased/settled/resolved.
