영화를 활용한 기독교세계관 수업 참여 경험 : B 기독교 대학교 학생을 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 기독교 대학생들이 기독교세계관을 확립하여 개인의 성장은 물론 하나님과 사회 속에서 의미 있는 삶을 살 수 있도록 돕기 위해, 영화를 활용한 기독교 세계관 수업에 참여한 학생들의 경험을 질적으로 분석하는데 있다. 연구문제는 첫째, 기독교 대학생들의 다양한 세계관은 어떠한지, 둘째, 영화를 활용한 수업의 교육적 효과는 무엇인지, 셋째, 수업을 통해 기독교 세계관과 기독교에 대한 인식의 변화는 어떠한지 등이다. 연구참여자는 B 기독교 대학교의 기독교세계관 수업에 참여한 학부 학생 총 44명이었다. 자료는 조별 토론 자료, 개별 인터뷰, 개인 글쓰기 등으로부터 수집하였고, 이를 귀납적 주제분석을 통해 분석하였다. 분석결과, 총 5개의 범주와 20개의 주제, 71개의 의미가 도출되었다. 5가지 범주는 1. 다양한 세계관, 2. 타인의 세계관에 대해 존중하는 마음 3. 영화를 통해 기독교의 세계로 초대됨: 비기독교인 중심, 4. 영화를 통해 더 깊은 신앙의 세계로 들어감: 기독교인 중심, 5. 기독교세계관 다지기 등이다. 이를 간략히 설명하면, 첫째, 참여자들은 다양한 세계관을 가지고 있었고, 타인의 세계관에 대해 존중하는 태도를 가져야한다고 생각하였다. 둘째, 영화를 활용한 수업의 효과는 비기독교인들의 경우, 기독교의 세계로 초대됨을 경험하였고, 기독교인의 경우, 더 깊은 신앙의 세계로 들어가는 경험을 하였다. 셋째, 기독교 및 세계관 변화는 비기독교인의 경우, 기독교세계관에 대해 우호적이고 열린 마음을 갖게 된 것으로 나타났다. 기독교인의 경우, 기독교에 대한 이해가 깊어지고, 기독교세계관이 다져지는 변화를 경험하였다. 이상의 내용을 기반으로 기독교 대학의 교육 과정에서 기독교세계관 교육의 중요성과 영화를 활용한 수업 방안에 대해 제언하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to qualitatively analyze the experiences of Christian University students who participated in a Christian worldview class that utilized film to help them establish a Christian worldview so that they can live a meaningful life in God and society as well as personal growth. The research questions are: 1) what are the various worldviews of Christian university students, 2) what are the educational effects of the class using film, and 3) what are the changes in their perceptions of the Christian worldview and Christianity through the class. The participants in this study were 44 undergraduate students who participated in a Christian worldview class at B University. Data were collected from group discussion materials, individual interviews, and Individual reflective writing, and analyzed through inductive thematic analysis. As a result of the analysis, a total of 5 categories, 20 themes, and 71 meanings were derived. The five categories are: 1. Diverse worldviews, 2. Respect for others' worldviews, 3. Invitation to the world of Christianity through film: non-Christians, 4. Deeper faith through film: Christians, 5. Strengthening Christian worldview. To summarize, first, the participants had diverse worldviews and felt that they should have a respectful attitude toward the worldviews of others; second, the effect of the film-based lessons was that non-Christians experienced an invitation into the world of Christianity; and Christians experienced a deeper faith. Third, the change in Christianity and worldview was that non-Christians became more friendly and open to the Christian worldview. For Christians, they experienced a transformation that deepened their understanding of Christianity and solidified their Christian worldview. Based on the above, the importance of Christian worldview education in the curriculum of Christian universities and suggestions for teaching methods utilizing films are discussed.
