베트남인 학부생의 한국어 말하기 불안 요인 분석

이 연구의 목적은 베트남인 학부생을 대상으로 한국어 말하기 불안의 특징을 살펴보고, 전체 말하기 불안과 말하기 불안 문항 및 요인 간의 관계, 그리고 학습자 변인에 따른 불안 양상의 차이를 분석하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 전북에 소재한 대학의 베트남인 학부생 92명을 대상으로 한국어 말하기 불안에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 베트남인 학부생의 한국어 말하기 불안은 다소 중간 수준이었다. 불안의 구성 요인은 ‘제2언어 교실 관련 불안’, ‘자신감 관련 불안’, ‘상호작용 관련 불안’, ‘능력 수준 관련 불안’으로 나타났다. 전체 말하기 불안과 각 문항, 요인 불안의 상관분석에서 18개 문항 중 14개의 문항은 상관이 있는 것으로 보였으며, 요인별 불안에서 모든 요인과 높은 상관성을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 학습자의 성별과 숙달도별로 한국어 말하기 불안의 정도를 분석한 결과에는 대체로 통계적인 차이가 없었다. 다만 ‘상호작용 관련 불안’에서 여자가 남자보다 불안을 더 많이 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 학습자의 한국어 능력이 높아지면 불안이 감소할 것이라는 예상과 달리 고급 학습자도 능력 수준 관련 불안을 제외한 나머지 불안은 감소되지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 베트남인 학부생의 말하기 불안에 주목하였으며 변인에 따른 불안 차이를 분석했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study takes Vietnamese undergraduate students as an research object, paying attention to the analysis of the characteristics of Korean speaking anxiety. The purpose of it is to analyze the relationship between speaking anxiety, the question types of speaking and the related factors. Also, the differences caused by variable cause of speaking anxiety learners is focuses on. Therefore, we have made a questionnaire survey on Korean learners, which conducted on 92 Vietnamese undergraduate students from Universities in Jeonbuk Region. It is found that Vietnamese undergraduates have a moderate level of anxiety on speaking Korean. The factors are including ‘the environment of second language classroom’, ‘the confidence’, ‘the interaction between students or teachers’ and ‘different learning abilities of students’. In the correlation analysis of speaking anxiety, including question types of speaking and the various questions and elements of anxiety, we have found that there are 14 questions related among 18 questions and all the elements have a high correlation. Besides, we made analysis on the speaking anxiety level of the Korean learners according to their gender and proficiency. The results have showed that there is no gross statistical difference. But on the interaction-related anxiety, we found that women feel more upset than men. As for the different learning abilities, it is found that the advanced learners still have other anxieties except the high learning levels. In a word, the study focuses on the speaking anxiety of Vietnamese undergraduate students and analyzes the anxiety differences caused by variable cause. From this point of view, it is of great significance.
