최근 스포츠 분야에서 윤리에 대한 사회적 관심이 증대함에 따라 윤리 정책 개정과 교육이 강화되고 있으나, 여전히 일부 종목에서 드러난 지도자의 부적절한 행위는 윤리의식 부재의 심각성을 보여준다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제를 비판적으로 분석하고, 레비나스의 타자윤리를 토대로 스포츠지도자가 지향해야 할 윤리적 태도를 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 첫째, 레비나스의 타자윤리에 관한 문헌과 선행연구를 고찰하여 타자윤리 개념을 도출하였다. 둘째, 스포츠지도자의 윤리의식 결여로 발생하는 윤리적 문제를 분석하고, 스포츠지도자의 윤리성 제고의 필요성을 규명하였다. 마지막으로, 타자윤리의 핵심 개념인 ‘타자’와 ‘얼굴의 현현’을 중심으로 지도자의 윤리적 책무성을 철학적으로 해석하였다. 스포츠지도자는 단순한 기술 전달자를 넘어 타인을 책임지는 존재이다. 따라서 지도자는 자신의 사회적 위치에 따라 그에 걸맞은 윤리의식을 갖추어야 하며, 타인을 지도하는 과정에서 윤리적 책무를 다할 때 그 역할의 의미가 부각될 수 있다.
Abstract
In recent years, social interest in ethics within the sports field has been increasing, leading to revisions in ethical policies and the strengthening of education. Nevertheless, inappropriate behaviors revealed in certain disciplines still demonstrate the severity of the lack of ethical awareness among sports leaders. This study aims to critically analyze these issues and propose the ethical attitudes that sports leaders should adopt, grounded in Levinas’ ethics of the Other. To achieve this, first, literature and previous research on Levinas’ ethics of the Other were reviewed to extract the core concepts. Second, ethical problems arising from the lack of ethical consciousness among sports leaders were analyzed, and the necessity of enhancing leaders’ ethicality was identified through domestic and international sources. Finally, the ethical responsibility of leaders was philosophically interpreted through the key concepts of the Other and the manifestation of the face. Sports leaders are not merely transmitters of technical skills but are responsible for others. Therefore, Sports leaders must cultivate an ethical consciousness appropriate to their social position, and the significance of their role becomes evident when they fulfill their ethical responsibilities in the process of guiding others.
