Abstract

This study investigates the future prospects of HR Analytics for data-driven HRD evaluation and identifies critical tasks for successful implementation. Utilizing the Delphi method, a panel of 24 HRD experts participated in three rounds of surveys. The analysis focused on the feasibility and importance of changes related to HR Analytics over the next five years. Results indicate a growing demand for data-driven analysis, judgment, prediction, and decision-making in identifying HRD needs, planning, operation, evaluation, and feedback. The digitalization of evaluation data is expected to be actively pursued, and the forms and sources of evaluation data will likely diversify. Analyzing the necessary tasks for HR Analytics implementation based on the necessity and urgency of solutions revealed several key points. It is essential to clarify the purposes of data collection and concretize utilization plans accordingly. Determining what specific data is needed and how to accumulate and manage it is also critical. Additionally, evaluation designs must enable data collection at various levels, including curricula, courses, instructors, and learners. Based on these findings, it is projected that HRD evaluation activities will increasingly adopt a data-driven approach, with the utilization of HR Analytics becoming more prevalent, concluding that data planning and design are fundamental for the successful implementation and application of HR Analytics.
