Abstract
Efforts have been made to improve the safety of railroads, and hardware elements such as various facilities and safety devices have been advanced with the development of science and technology, but research in terms of deriving and solving the causes of accidents related to railroad operation is insufficient. Prior research mainly presents the problem of causing human errors in human factors and acting as the cause of accidents, and focuses on classifying types of human errors or preparing measures to prevent human errors. It is important to understand what causal relationship the cause factors involved in the railroad accident have. This is because the analysis of the cause of the accident and the prevention measures to prevent the recurrence of similar accidents are different. It is a difficult task to analyze the causal relationship of various cause factors. In this study, a mechanism and an accident analysis model for the accident process were presented. In particular, it will be divided into cause factor zones, risk factor zones, accident intervention zones, and accident zones to contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of establishing accident prevention measures.
