철도 영역 종사자들을 대상으로 그들의 공공봉사동기가 안전행동에 직접적 영향을 미칠 것이라는 점을 증명함과 동시에 인구통계학적 특성이 이들 관계에서 조절역할을 하는 가를 탐색적으로 분석하고자 한다. 공공봉사동기와 안전행동에 따른 인구통계학적 특성(성별, 연령대, 학력, 경력, 소득)에 따른 차이를 살펴본 결과 성별, 연령, 경력 및 소득에 따라 공공봉사동기 및 안전행동에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 공공봉사동기와 안전행동의 관계를 살펴본 결과 두 변인은 서로 관련이 있으며, 공공봉사동기가 높아질수록 안전행동이 향상된다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 공공봉사동기가 안전행동에 미치는 영향에서 인구통계학적 특성의 조절효과를 살펴본 결과, 성별, 연령, 학력, 경력, 소득은 모두 공공봉사동기와 안전행동 간의 관계에서 조절효과를 가지지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 인구통계학적 특성의 조절효과 분석을 규명하고자 노력했지만 이에 영향력을 확인하지 못하였다는 데 그 한계점을 지니고 있다. 향후 후행연구에서 좀 더 다양한 변인을 고려한 연구 시도가 이루어지기를 제언하는 바이다.
Abstract
This study aims to prove that the public service motivation of railway workers will directly affect safety behavior and to explore whether demographic characteristics play a moderating role in these relationships. As a result of examining the differences according to demographic characteristics (gender, age, education, career, income) corresponding to public service motivation and safety behavior, there were differences in public service motivation and safety behavior according to gender, age, career, and income. The result of examining the relationship between public service motivation and safety behavior showed that the two variables were related to each other. It was confirmed that the higher the public service motivation, the better the safety behavior. As a result of examining the moderating effect of demographic characteristics on the effect of public service motivation on safety behavior, it was found that gender, age, education, career, and income did not have a moderating effect on the relationship between public service motivation and safety behavior. In this study, we analyzed the moderating effect of demographic characteristics but could not confirm the influence. In the future, follow-up research should consider more diverse variables.
