누가 성령론에 대한 구원론적 이해 누가복음 - 3장에 나타난 새 출애굽 모티프를 중심으로

초록

이 논문의 목적은 누가복음 3장에 나오는 성령 언급 구절의 배경에 새 출애굽 모티프가 있음을 상호텍스트성(intertextuality) 방법론을 통해 밝힘으로써 누가의 성령 이해가 구원론적임을 주장하려는것이다. 누가의 성령 언급 구절은 요한과 예수님을 대비시키는 문맥과 연관되어 있다. 누가복음 3장 16-17절에서 요한은 자신이 메시아가 아니며, 메시아는 자신보다 ‘능력이 많으신 이’라는 것은 확증하기 위해 ‘성령과 불’이라는 표현을 사용한다. 누가복음 3장 21-22절도 감옥에 갇힌 요한과는 대비되는 메시아로서의 예수님을 드러낸다. 예수님의 세례 당시에 하늘로부터 음성이 들려온 것과 하나님께로 이어지는 족보(눅 3:23-38)는 요한과 달리 예수님이 메시아이심을보여준다. 흥미롭게도 누가복음 3장에서 성령을 언급하는 두 본문의문맥은 요한과 예수님을 대비시키고 있다. 종말론적 구원자는 요한이 아니라 예수님이다. 이런 누가의 신학적 의도는 성령 언급 구절의 배경에 나타나는 다양한 새 출애굽 모티프들을 통해서 다시 확인하게 된다. 새 출애굽모티프는 하나님의 구원하시는 역사를 드러내는 대표적인 모형론인 데, 성경 전체에서 빈번하게 사용되었다. 누가의 구약 인용이 이사야를 중심으로 이루어지기 때문에 모세오경으로부터의 직접적인 인용을 찾기는 쉽지 않다. 하지만 누가의 구약 인용은 이사야서를 중심으로 이루어졌고, 성령 언급 구절에서는 이사야 40-55장에 활용된 새출애굽 모티프를 쉽게 찾을 수 있다. 결론적으로 누가는 새 출애굽모티프를 떠올리며 성령을 언급하고 있음이 분명하고, 만약 그렇다면 누가의 성령은 구원론적으로 이해하는 것이 적절하다.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to suggest that Luke's understanding of the Holy Spirit is soteriological by presenting the new exodus motif in the background of the spirit-related verses in Luke 3. Luke’s spirit-related verses are closely associated with the context that contrasts John and Jesus. For example, Luke 3:16-17 exposes the expression ‘the Spirit and fire’ to confirm the fact that John is not the Messiah, since the Messiah is the mightier one than John. In addition, in Luke 3:21-22, Jesus is depicted as the Messiah, opposed to John, who is imprisoned. It is clear from the genealogy of Jesus in Luke 3:23-38 and from the voice from heaven at his baptism that Jesus is the true Messiah. Interestingly, two passages which refer to the Holy Spirit also contrast John and Jesus. Thus, Jesus is the eschatological savior over John. Additionally, Luke's theological intention is further clarified by various new exodus motifs in the background of the Spirit-referred verses. As an illustration of God's salvific work, the motif of new exodus serves as an example. The bible uses this typology frequently. It is difficult to find Luke’s direct citation from the Pentateuch, since Luke’s OT citation seems to be concentrated on Isaiah. However, there are many references to the Isaianic new exodus motif in Luke’s Spirit-referred verses. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that Luke’s theological intention concerning Spirit-referred verses is heavily influenced by the new exodus motif.
