Abstract

The training of cadets is aimed at acquisition elite officers who can lead the armed forces. In addition, the training of cadets is costly in terms of time and money. Thus, it is important to make good use of well-trained cadets in the Army. For this reason, the branch selection of cadets should be performed in a way that ensures the effectiveness of branch classification. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing the branch selection of the cadets in KAAY and provide quantitative information to enhance the effectiveness of the pathogenesis. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide quantitative information to enhance the effectiveness of the cadets' branch classification by identifying the influencing factors on the branch selection of the cadets in KAAY. This study consists of three phases. In the first phase, theoretical reviews are conducted on the branch classification system and the characteristics related to the branch selection of cadets in KAAY. In the second phase, a study model established, and a survey on the branch selection of cadets is conducted for data collection. In the third phase, a logistic regression analysis is conducted on the influencing factors of the branch selection of cadets in KAAY. The results of the empirical analysis showed that the factors influencing the branch selection of the cadets in KAAY were "promotion condition and soldier image," "whether they majored in military science" and "final expected rank." The results of this study provide a foundation for the development of the branch classification policy and subsequent research of the cadets.
