녹색 운동의 정치 실험 : 프랑스 사례를 중심으로

Abstract

French Green Party faces two challenges, loss of dynamism of grass-roots civil movement and that of its identity caused by the compromise with traditional politics, though it has gained substantial achievement entering into the institutional politics producing many members of Parliament and decision makers after its foundation. Green Movement, led by the people who led the 68 Movement, could achieve political chances as an alternative political party in critical situation in which the traditional political parties could not keep up with the post-material issues such as women, human rights environment. Political experiment of French Green Movement is still in progress though internal and external throes and policy confusion caused by its change as a political organization. It, however, offers some implications to Korean green political movements which are preparing another leap forward as a alternative political force in the face of mounting ecological and democratic threats. First of all, French Green Party has put all its effort to spread out ideal and vision of green politics with continuous participating in various elections, despite its less-than-expected results since 1974 election. Secondly, it has continuously presented persuasive alternatives and conducted political struggle to create more public awareness.
