Abstract
It becomes main point of argument that the study of interpretations and translations shall consider the thoughts and cultural factors underlying in a certain statement or text beyond the literal translation- an equivalent change of language. From this viewpoint, this paper reviews how so-called the ‘Korean wave’ that has been a mind-blowing experience to Greater China in the past decade, influences the interpretations and translations. The culture of ‘Korean wave’ has given rise to much change in publishing market in China while introducing lots of popular culture and pure literature from which new possibility of development is envisioned. For sustainable and desirable cultural exchange between different cultures, this thesis put much emphasis on both the necessary education of culture in foreign language education that enables to escalate the ability to deal with the cultural difference and full supports by government in need taking ‘interpretations and translations’ into consideration of state-leading culture export.
