Abstract

This study analyzed the impact of global outsourcing on employment for the period 1988 to 2014 using. To analyze the impact, we employed the System GMM and IV methods to address the endogeneity problem that had not been considered in previous studies. The results show that global outsourcing has never had an impact on employment for a full period. Additionally, we analyzed it divided into before and after the financial crisis in 1997. The result for the additional analysis also shows that the global outsourcing has no impact on employment.
