초록

본 논문은 이탈리아 르네상스에 끼친 비잔티움 미술에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 학자들은 이탈리아 르네상스가 대략 1350-1550년 기간에 나타난 문예운동이라고 말하고 있지만 비잔티움 미술은 벌써 13세기에 이탈리아 북부지방에 영향을끼치고 있었다. 이는 이탈리아 르네상스의 문화융합이 13세기부터 시작되었다는 것을 의미한다. 13세기 말 치마부에와 조토에 의해 새로운 이탈리아 양식이만들어져 갔지만 이탈로-비잔티움 양식은 15세기까지 지속되었고 일부 지역에서는 그 이후(16세기)에도 지속되었다.

Abstract

This article focuses on Byzantine art that contributed to the Italian Renaissance. Scholars say the Italian Renaissance was a literary movement that appeared around 1350-1550, but Byzantine art was already affecting northern Italy in the 13th century. This means that the cultural convergence of the Italian Renaissance began in the 13th century. At the end of the 13th century, a new Italian style was created by Cimabue and Giotto, but the Italo-Byzantine style lasted until the 15th century, and in some regions it continued until the 16th century.
