南冥의 「寒暄堂畫屛跋」에 대한 소고

Abstract

「Hanhwondanghwabyeongbal」 of Nammyung Cho Sik(1501- 1572), is known as literary works created at the last. A study on Nammyung is now fairly accumulated, so in this context, a study on literature also achieves many things. However, it is rare that existing research analyze with focus on formal beauty of the work itself or the beauty of literature. There are many research that take advantage of literature for disproving author’s consciousness of the times or values. This article explores Nammyung’s spirits on 「Hanhwondanghwa byeongbal」, at the same time, pays attention how the work is described. Furthermore, analyzes the structure of the work focusing on author’s theme, and inspects relevance of revealing author’s theme. Nammyung tries to appreciate Hanhwondang’s spirits, and he wants to clarify it through 「Hanhwondanghwabyeongbal」. Also he tries to reveal own worldwiew pursuing non-artificial life. Author’s value is displayed in a regular pattern across the full work. Moreover, Nammyung continually reveals topic to readers by exposing proper contents for appreciating Hanhwondang’s spirits and descriptions. 「Hanhwondanghwabyeongbal」 is the works structured author’s worldview controling any artificial one of selfishness. In these days, we can have enough sympathy because of structural devices in works designed carefully. In other words, the literary style inherent in this work contributes to reveal the beauty of literature and multiplies subject of work as well as characteristic in itself. This kind of device is factor that readers regard as more attractive than simply describing the subject. This article researchs on subject and the beauty of form centered the 「Hanhwondanghwabyeongbal」 itself. Korean Classics in Chinese research have to pay attention to the nature of literature centered on the work itself. It will be true literary research that clarify literature of individual works and the aesthetic aspect of the author by dissecting closely.
