정보상품 독점가격론은 정보재 가치논쟁의 한 축을 형성했으며, 논쟁에 상당히기여했다. 하지만, 이 이론은 가치생산에 있어 지식(노동)의 역할을 간과하며, 지식의 본질과 지적재산권의 역할에 대한 잘못된 이해를 바탕으로 한다. 결정적으로 정보상품 독점가격론은 상품일반 독점가격론이며 노동가치론의 유효성의 부정으로귀결하고 만다.
Abstract
The monopoly price theory of information commodities has been one of the two main contending theories in the Korean debate over the value of information goods, and has significantly contributed to the development and evolution of the debate. However, the monopoly price theory short-circuits the social process of the virtual intensification of commodity-producing labour and the role of knowledge labour. Furthermore, it is based on a false understanding of the nature of knowledge and the role of intellectual property rights. Most importantly, this theory turns out to be the monopoly price theory of commodities in general, and thus implicitly rejects the validity of the labour theory of value
