이 글은 지금까지의 정보재 가치논쟁에서 연구개발노동의 이론화가 충분하지 않았으며, 이로 인해 논쟁의 근본 문제인 패키지 소프트웨어의 가격과 가치의 문제 역시 명확하게 해명되지 않았음을 주장한다. 이에 따라 이 글은 연구개발노동의 문제를 확장하여, 마르크스의 노동가치론에 지식노동의 문제가 일관된 형태로 편입되어야 함을 주장하고, 이것이 어떻게 가능한지를 보인다. 지식노동은 상품의 가치를 직접적으로든 간접적으로든 생산하지 않는다. 하지만 지식노동의 산물인 지식은 노동과정의 노동생산성을 규정하며, 노동을 강화한다는 측면에서 가치생산과 관련되어 있다. 또한 지식노동을 포괄하는 새로운 이론체계를 통해 패키지 소프트웨어의 가치와 가격에 대한 이 글의 시각이 제시된다.
Abstract
This paper argues that theorization of R&D labour throughout the debate on the value of information goods has not been successful, and due to this, the problem of the value and price of package software still persists. This paper suggests that knowledge labour should be incorporated as part of Marx’s labour theory of value by extending the concept of R&D labour, and shows how this is possible. Knowledge labour does not produce value, either directly or indirectly. However, knowledge, which is the product of knowledge labour, determines the productivity of labour and makes labour act as intensified labour, and in that sense related with the production of value. In addition, based on this new approach, this paper will provide its own view about the value and price of software package.
