본 논문은 전희상의 정보재 가치론에 대한 최근의 논쟁(전희상, 2013)을 재검토하면서 첫째, 전희상이 기초하고 있는 노동의 배수화 관점과 절충주의적 관점의 유사성과 차이를 명확히 하고, 둘째 전희상의 최근 논의에서 부족한 정보지대 개념을노동가치론의 신해석에 기초해 좀 더 명확히 하고자 했다. 그리하여 정보재의 초과이윤을 설명하려면 마르크스의 노동과정론에 지식생산과정을 추가해야 한다는 전희상의 논리와는 반대로 마르크스의 노동과정론의 일반이론은 수정될 필요가 없으며 오히려 마르크스의 차액지대론으로 보완해야 한다고주장한다. 본 논문에서처럼 정보재의 노동가치론을 해석하면 『자본론』 1권과 『자본론』 3권에 등장하는 가치론적 개념을 모두 동원할 수 있으며 마르크스 가치론의 실용적유용성이 더욱 증진된다.
Abstract
This paper answers the questions raised by Jeon (2013) regarding ‘the eclectic view’ on the value of information goods. First, I summarise the common elements and differences between ‘the intensification view’ and ‘the eclectic view’ to clarify the problem between two views. I conclude that Jeon (2013) cannot understand the importance of the concept of differential rent (DR), which uses Marx’s value theory, in explaining the value of information goods. To explain the high profits of information goods, I demonstrate DR and cognitive rent using Foley’s (1986) simple diagrams. From this review, I show that the eclectic view has more merits to understand the special case of the high profits of information goods. In addition, Marx’s concepts of value theory, consistently demonstrated from Capital I through Capital III, are used in this explanation, which improves the practical strength of Marx’s value theory.
